Transferring DX7 banks to a PC version of FM7

Post by thesoundsmith »

I have FM7 on my laptop and I have a bank of patches that I want to export. If I try to export the bank, the Export options are greyed out, whether I select the patches or not. There are no 'x' unavailable signs on the files, but my DX7 gave up the ghost a year ago and I can't connect it to Unisyn (I don't know if this matters, even.)

Any idea how to get these files into an FM7-approved format?

Has no one ever done this? NI doesn't have a clue, but I know it can be done (or at least it could with an earlier version of Unisyn.)
