has anyone created a midnam for Kawai K5

Post by Thomboy »

Heya,

Another crazy K5m user here. I've been able to get my patches/banks into Unisyn. Now I'm trying to create a midnam file in Library/Audio/MIDI Devices/MOTU so that Digital Performer will be able to pull up a patch list with my current sounds in it. I'm not having any luck here. Has anyone been able to do this?

Thanks,

- Thom

Is the problem getting the names to show up in DP or is the problem creating the .midnam file? If it is the former, you need to put the file into the Kawai subfolder AND edit the kawai.middev file. If it is the creation of the file, that is going to be a little more difficult.
