Hey Mike... *Which* files do you fix privileges and permissions on? The privileges and permissions look fine on my DP files (at least when I look at them in Get Info), but Background Processing is getting stuck often.
Just got back from a week in Manhattan and am back on my iMac Pro.

Had to search the old memory banks for this one... This was after I got me 2010 iMac when DP went from 7.01 to 7.12 to 7.24. Files from my G5 that opened fine in 7.01 crashed 7.24 completely. MOTU Support told me that they were all corrupt (huh? they opened fine in 7.01). Out of curiosity, I reverted to 7.01, downloaded the 7.12 updater and that's where the Background Processing Monitor showed me that I had a Privileges problem.

So I tried the following:
a) ran Get Info on the Project Folder, b) unlock the padlock with my Admin password, c) made sure that every user had Read and Write Privilege and check Apply to enclosed items… d) click ok when asked.

These are not the actual screen shots from 13 years ago but the'll illustrate what I did. The result was that everything opened up and I was good.

Thanks, Mike… just did it to all active projects. I also added BG Processing to my consolidated window so I can keep an eye on it. We'll see how t goes.
