I opened DP 9.51 this morning to check something but did not work in anything. I closed the project and but did not quit DP. One hour it happened to me. This means I was able to test it using TechTool Pro.

I ran a RAM check and only had 93mB free — out of 32G installed. I did a force-quit on DP and now had 9G free. 30 minutes later, I reopened DP and reloaded the project that was open before—now I had 28G available.

Running sudo purge and rebooting only bumped it up to 28.4G available. This is with 78 tabs open on 3 monitors in Chrome as I need for my day job.

I am most impressed with High Sierra right now. I've never seen unused RAM clear so quickly and cleanly once an application was shut down.

Anyway. There is definitely a memory leak. Is it in DP or my plugs? Probably Yes to both. The project I had loaded uses no VIs and no plugs that I have bought or updated in the last year.

A TechLink will go in with my results today.

I have never seen a memory leak this bad on a Mac before — ever.
