Anyone read the last Music Connection?

Post by mano99 »

There was an article in last months Music Connection regarding a survey they did across the US with 150 recording studios-from large to small studios. It was very promising and positive. They claim, in the article, that they feel the downturn in the studio business (the selling of time), has bottomed out and looks like it may actually be turning around.

Recording equipment is cheaper to buy, but it's gotten so complicated, people don't know how to run it... Makes sense things would pick up again...

Plus, I think the brainwashing of people into thinking: "yeah my music won't be stolen with mp3 downloads" is working!

or

Prices for studios have dropped so much.. I, for one, find it hard to compete with the guy who charges 10.00/hr down the street...
