FireWire to Optical TOSLink to Amp

Hello
I am trying to connect Traveller MK3 to an amplifier via optical (TOSLink). MK3 is connected to a MacBook Pro via FireWire.
I have configured the TOSLink as the stereo output, and see the signal in CueMix, but nothing seems to arrive to the amplifier...
What am I doing wrong?
