Is there a 828 Mkii MIDI monitor light.

Hi,

Suddenly DP isnt receiving MIDI at all. I've checked the keyboard and MIDI cable by connecting them to a MIDI synth module, they are both fine. All other functions of the 828 seem to be fine but I cant get MIDI to the MachFive 3. It will play tracks already recorded, so nothing wrong there.

DP's MIDI monitor shows nothing coming in, but is there a monitor light...or something like one...on the 828, to know if its input is working?

I'm quite sure I'm doing something incredibly stupid, some button not pushed, but what?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure all MOTU interfaces have a MIDI IN/OUT light. Time to check your computer and maybe the Audio MIDI Setup.

Done, of course. The question is, Where is that MIDI light?

It's on the front panel between the spdif and mic lights. It's labeled
IN
*
MIDI
*
OUT

Jeez, how did I not see that! Maybe because it wasn't lighting up

I assume it's not "channel sensitive" so to speak? It should light up for any signal on any channel coming from the keyboard, right.

And thanks for the MIDI monitor link.
