Hmmm...
That doesn't sound very good for the music market. If Apple kills them, it just means less competitors... One main monopoly... One that lowers even MORE the already absurd low prices.
Ah, the race to the bottom in all its splendour...

It also means that the "free music" model was always doomed. Except for the demo period, there is no way to get Apple Music without paying.

You know, I just wonder to myself how long these ventures can continue to lose HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS every year and keep going? You know, sooner or later if you don't turn a profit, "investors" pull the plug.mikehalloran wrote:It also means that the "free music" model was always doomed. Nah, they'll just squeeze us, the music creators, still a bit more...James Steele wrote:You know, I just wonder to myself how long these ventures can continue to lose HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS every year and keep going? They'll make up for it by lowering our percentage gains.

That's why bands sell t-thirts, hats and (wait for it...) coffee cups to make a living.Helena_Birk12 wrote:it's sad when musician works on a song for a couple of month (sometimes it may be a year) and in the end it costs less than a cup of coffee.
