An iPad is a pretty powerful music machine these days. I have been using it more and more in my projects. I use it mostly for synth/drum/instruments and still use a desktop computer DAW (DP, of course), but I have done a few tracks on an iOS DAW. We've seen major steps forward just in the last year or so. Many people today are making serious tracks totally on an iPad. As iPads continue to evolve at a rapid pace, I can easily envision a near future where the tablet starts to take over, replacing the laptop/desktop more and more.

Oh yeah my ears are still ringing.... Hey Dave remember the big "Magic Knob" I put in the patch bay that didn't do anything? I would let the client turn it until they liked the way it sounded. Then I would blast the JBL's and tell them "it sounds even better louder." I only did that to the crazy clients like X Hell. 8)

Make it more "red". :)

I'd take my studio gear over that at Cherokee I worked for in the 80s. The big room is another story...

Oh yeah... I did Cherokee and Can Am and El Dorado, Sunset Sound. I'd take my stuff even 5 years ago... It's getting really good. Kinda grateful I have something to compare it to. I'm amazed some guys I hear, "dude I just put up a 100 track template and every 23 track name was misspelled. Then when I jerk the wiper around like I'm wringing a chickens neck... CRASH!!! Bug... When is MOTU going to get it together? So annoying!" How about them nitpickers? lol
