I posted more details in the Ethno forum as it seems clear this is effectively Ethno 3. But not many people will find it there who would have an interest in this product so I'm announcing it separately here. I just figured Ethno owners would want to know as well.

I haven't checked whether it is MachFive compatible or only UVI Workstation and Falcon compatible, but if UVI Orchestral Suite had that limitation then probably this product does as well.

I'll probably take advantage of my upgrade offer momentarily, if I don't fall asleep first.

Oh, it's already listed at our sponsor Sweetwater's site, and also another well-known vendor (it would be impolite to mention them given that our sponsor is selling this product).

I'm not providing the direct link as I think that would break the linkage to this site vs. clicking at the top of the page to go to Sweewater from here and then searching for UVI World Suite at that point.

I have to buy direct from UVI though as I own the qualifying products for the special upgrade/crossgrade price. Although I'll search first to see if resellers have managed to get involved in that as well.

Sweetwater shows a price of $99 (versus $299 at UVI) with no mention of cross or upgrades. Is there a lower price by another path?

Sorry, I was quite tired when I wrote the subject header, and accidentally entered the name of the older product, which is sort-of equivalent to MOTU Ethno 1.

My post above the two that follow, already explains that discrepancy.

I made a typo in the title originally, due to being tired, and accidentally typed the old product name, so that fooled someone else into thinking the NEW product is $99. World Traditions is the $99 one.

UVI clarified the product at vi-control, and I reposted their explanation on the Ethno forum here.

To summarize, this is a new product in most senses of the word. The best analogy would probably be the upgrade from Ethno World 4 to Ethno World 5, where there was a lot of new material that was deeper, and the old material was improved via new features and better GUI control and design.

I wonder if this isn't Ethno "3" in disguise.

Unlike MOTU Symphonic Instrument 2, which was shown and advertised but never came out, I never saw Ethno 3 announced or shown/advertised, but am starting to think the libraries were mostly if not all UVI's doing -- maybe MOTU did their own GUI skin following their style guidelines.
