HOW TO Kontakt Optimization in your DAW with large film or orchestral templates
By request. I'm sure you guys know all this stuff, but I did it anyway. The only price I paid was cracking a tooth while chewing on some ice during a break. Dang it!

Thanks for this Steve, really informative.
What has been a nice 'trick' for me with DP and VEP6 is this:
Create an extra empty tab in VEP. When you have that selected the CPU load in DP (processing meter) goes down to a third and CPU overall to 50%.
Pretty amazing. At least for me, have a look.
I see you're working on 1024 buffer, so might not be useful for you. But I couldn't work with that since I need low(ish) latency for performing everything. But my template with plenty of kontakts, omnispheres. About 16 altiverbs, slate, sonnox and what not. Plays super stable @ 256 buffer, no spikes what so ever.
Anyways, thanks again, learned some great things!
