MOTU Ultralite AVB + MIDI

Dear All,
I'm about to buy a MOTU Ultralite AVB soon.
I'd like to use it also as a standalone compact Mixer.
For this purpose I'd like to know if it would be possible to control volume faders, filters, pan-pot etc...with a regular MIDI control surface such as Novation Launch Control XL or Livid DS-1, obviusly using a proper USB to MIDI DIN converter.
