Is there a way to repeat a section and use alternate ending?
for example I have a 8 bar section and I want bar 1-7 to repeat but then go from bar 7 to 9 the second time?

You can use the loop tool and set it to repeat once, but you'd have to apply this to all tracks.

As the manual says, you can't create a loop in the tempo track. That would seem to be a very useful feature because it would give control over looping for the sequence in general.
