Is Mach 5 an Instrument or a Sound track insert ??

Post by bckdm »

Hi there

I just acquired Mach 5 to run with my DP 4.12
I am a bit concerned with an important difference between the documentation and the real world of DP: the documentation that ships with Mach 5 (in French) explains that Mach 5 is called from a DP audio track as an insert. But there is no Mach 5 plug in the insert popup lists.
In fact, I can only use Mach 5 by creating an Instrument track.
I don't really get this difference between the doc and the real usage... How do you use Mach 5 with DP 4???

Cheers

crack open an instrument track (mach five, of course), then some MIDI tracks. make the output of mach five main out 1-2, and the input of the MIDI tracks mach five 1-1, 1-2, and so on. each mach five instrument track can have 16 MIDI tracks, just select different ones by clicking on the orange button next to each name, to hear each track, click the record button in the mixer window (or the track window).
