DP 9 AU Plug In passed exam but not appearing in insert

I am running DP 9 and installed the 5.1 upmix plug in by Penteo. The AU passed examination and in the Audio Plug In Preferences it shows it has passed and is enabled. However when I try to insert the plug on an audio track it does not appear in the list. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

I am running Mac 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro Dual Quad.

Thanks!

Could it be a 32 bit plug in a 64 bit launch?

Also, check to see if it's in the list under Preferences>Audio Plugins.

Sometimes a plug-in doesn't have the name we expect, due to sloppiness on the developer's part. I've even seen a plug-in come up once as #$&**VFF$55 or something close to it. :-)

This is where the "alternate" way of searching plug-ins can come in helpful. Rather than use the full expanded alphabetical list, use the context menu to bring up the plug-ins by vendor name.

Yes, it is 64 bit and is listed and enabled in the preference menu. I found the issue though as I needed to have the track with the plug in insert to be a 5.1 output even though I am upmixing from stereo. All is good and thanks so much for the suggestions!

Cheers!

How do you set your panner up for conversion? It cannot be in the standard position because it doesn't allow Penteo to work correctly. I tried the middle but the sound gets diminished by a lot and stays that way when down mixing to Stereo.

Yes, some plugs don't show up at all if they aren't the correct track format for the slot in question.
