No I get it, I'm just really frustrated with how bad their Memorymoog emulation is, I want to buy it and use it, but it's terrible, Sounds nothing like the Memorymoog I own that I would love to sell for a modern analog that wasn't in the shop every other year.

Here's a list since you asked.

U-He are 50% off all products https://u-he.com
Diva and Repro 5 are amazing, so is Hive, those are the must haves, but everything is good from them.

Sononym is 50% off. https://www.sononym.net
Searches all audio files for similarity, super useful with drums, loops, all audio really. IMO this is a no brainer.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned Fabfilter? but they're on sale as well.
https://www.fabfilter.com

Arturia have sales as well, I'm probably biting on the upgrade to their FX suite, Sononym, and buckling with U-He and Fabfilter as well.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.

That's cool. I never know about the axes that need grinding out there until I unwittingly post some deal online and find out. So I guess if you're very much a fan of the Memorymoog (I was in a band in the 80s and our bassist/keyboardist had a Memorymoog Plus) it's an affront that it doesn't sound as good as the real thing. Like I said... to each their own. I don't really care if it sounds like the original or not... some do... some don't. It's clear where you stand on the Memorymoog emulation issue.

Certainly there must be better ones out there. I don't know. I know IK Multimedia tries with Syntronik and Sample Tank... maybe UVI. Maybe the sampling approach is better for those things. I know I bought Cherry Audio's Lowdown because it was cheap, but my favorite Moog Taurus sound is the one I sample myself directly out of the 1/4" jack on the back of the Taurus I pedals I owned in the 80s, into the sampling input of my Ensoniq EPS16+. Should have never let go of the Taurus Is I had. Ugh.

Anyway... yes... let's continue to post deals that we here about here. I'd enjoy it if the bulk of the posts here were focused on that.

Hmmm... I already own Vocal Strip. Not sure I want to pop for just Vocal Flow. I could give the Vocal Strip license to a friend I guess.

Get Waves Silk for FREE Today (Friday) Only!

Post by James Steele »

Waves finally went live with the plugin they'd been teasing for a while. You can go here:

https://www.waves.com/black-friday-2023/free-plugin

... then add your email and you'll get a message that your plugin will arrive arrive via e-mail in 2-4 hours. What's odd is after I got mine I went to test the link out and was blocked for some bizarre security reason from that page by Waves. Had to turn on my VP to see it again. Maybe you only get to sign up once there? Who knows... weird.

Ukulele Kontakt Instrument for $3.90

I couldn't resist this. I may never use it, but $3.90?

https://pulse.audio/product/ukulele-by-splash-sound/

The instrument also has two mics and you can pan left and right and get a nice sounding stereo spread.

I recently discovered Decent Samples. Tons of interesting and useful free and cheap sample libraries that load into their free Decent Sampler - which lets you easily browse and download their catalog from within the VI. The Decent Sampler seems a-okay with DP.

Softube Atlantis Dual Chambers (normally 199) - $69 on sale and after coupon code

Okay... normally $199... reduced to $89. Use coupon code EXTRABLACK at checkout and it drops the price to $69. Demo it... this seems pretty useful. I liked it and bought it.

Acustica is having a sale until 12/10:

I've been eyeing Taupe for a while. I think it's a very good tape/analog mojo emulation which uses convolution and couldn't resist adding it to the arsenal.

Interesting. They have Weber piano samples. It sounds just like my Weber piano. I’ve been wanting to sample mine for a very long time, and now I don’t have to.
