Just saw this one. Free but not for much longer. Their site is also slow and it will put you in a "waiting room" for a bit.

If you're using a browser like Brave and have certain blockers up, you'll need to turn them off. I couldn't get the transaction to go through in the cart until I turned them off.

New Fangled Audio Saturate $19

Post by James Steele »

New Fangled Audio Saturate $19

https://www.eventideaudio.com/plug-ins/saturate/
Saturate is the Spectral Clipper algorithm made popular in the Elevate Mastering Limiter. Saturate’s two controls belie a sophisticated signal processing engine that allows it to overdrive a signal without affecting the tonal balance no matter how hard you push it. Add up to 24 dB of overdrive without creating a “tubby” or muffled sound. Additionally, the SHAPE control allows you to smoothly morph between hard clipping and the mathematically smoothest curve possible. Use Saturate to overdrive individual tracks or your entire mix.

The UVI Select Bundle is pretty good at $199 — less than any two of the eleven components. You purchase it through NI and are sent an serial number that is entered into the UVI Portal for download, activation and registering to your iLok account.

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... nks-offer/

Afterwards, UVI sent me a $20 Voucher. Don't know if there's anything there anymore for me to spend it on, however.

My voucher was only $10. I've been sorely tempted to go for this, but I just learned my health insurance premiums are going up again and I'm going to have to be a bit more careful with my discretionary funds. Looks like a heck of a deal, however!

I have another $40 voucher with UVI and was disappointed that I couldn't spend it on this being offered through NI only. Dang!

Well, I bought the NI Irish update for $79. It's $20 off because I had something, probably Komplete Ultimate Collectors 14? I see an Irish Harp in my list but don't know what might have contained it.

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... n/ireland/

I did this knowing full well that when it's time for the upgrade to 15, it will be included.

I feel so used…

The Irish Harp was a freebie, I think maybe last holiday season 2022, so you got a free upgrade from a free product. :-)

This is an excellent collection. Some of the contained instruments are best in class in the sampling world so far.

Ok, I vaguely remember that.

I still get calls for these. At one time, I owned and played them all in the flesh and had an Irish band to boot. Nowadays, it's just the bodhrán and 3-hole tabor pipe because of my left arm. So it's nice to have all of these VIs in one place and let clients know that I can deliver tracks as long as I don't have to be there.

When I was in Ireland in 1988, I tried to play the bodhrán and failed which bugged me since I could play drums. Somehow, my left (dominant) hand just wasn't getting with the program. On the last night of our tour at the party, without thinking, I picked it up with my left hand, and noticed that I'd put the beater in my right and was strumming as if it was a giant guitar pick — oh… I can still do that.

AudioThing Fog Convolver 2.2 on sale $39 USD (Reg $69)

Post by stubbsonic »

It's a great bargain at $69, so at $39, it's a steal.

It's a very flexible dual or true-stereo convolution reverb. It now includes a new space simulation section made in cooperation with Lese Audio Technologies.

Here's the 2.0 demo vid:

https://youtu.be/8qQKXy-X94k

It's AS native, and includes a CLAP version.
M1 MBP; OS 12, FF800, DP 11.3, Kontakt 7, Reaktor 6, PC3K7, K2661S, iPad6, Godin XTSA, Two Ibanez 5 string basses (1 fretted, 1 fretless), FM3, SY-1000, etc.

Uh oh. I’m a recovering reverb addict. This one is not going to be easy to ignore.
