This looks interesting, and the price is right. Thanks for the tip. According to the link, the Group Buy is still active and is near Level 15.

Thanks again KGdrum! Downloaded and installed. FYI, this freebie also include a standalone app version of the EQ.

Yeah HG Sounds Group Buys are ridiculous bargains! ;-)
The developer Alstralp is really talented and generous beyond reason with these Group Buy promotions.
The GB ends April 2nd,it has a ton of useable content and at $15 it's a true no-brainer.

Had to jump through a few hoops to get an account and authorize but looks interesting. Will have to explore the stand alone app, also.

Free VHL-3C Vintage High/Low Pass Filter Plug

Post by James Steele »

Stumbled onto this one and thought I'd pass along. From Black Rooster audio:
Built around a cascade of two constant-K filters the VHL-3C‘s analog counterpart - a sought-after processor from the early 1950s - comprises an entirely passive design with very musical and interactive pass filters. Offering 3 simple and intuitive controls, the VHL-3C allows you to effectively remove rumble, hum or harsh frequencies from your signals. Set both filter knobs to their extreme positions and you‘ll end up with a narrow telephone-line bandpass. „So what?“, you may wonder - Black Rooster Audio is giving away this goodie for FREE!
Go here:
https://blackroosteraudio.com/pluginsto ... hl-3c.html

It requires you create an account. Note that the installer it has you download appears to be one of those installers that contains many different plugs of theirs, so do a custom install and uncheck everything except:

VHL-3C Plug-in (FREE)
AU Support

You can enable AAX Support and VST Support if desired. I just noticed there are two other free plug-ins contained in the installer called "Cypress TT-15" and "Canary" so I'm going to install those too. What the heck, right?

UPDATE: Just ran installer and launched DP and instantiated the two plugs. You have to return to your user area at Black Rooster Audio and you'll see a serial number at the top. It seems to be user specific not product specific. So just enter that code into the dialog that presents itself when you launch the plug and whatever plugs are shown in your user area as licensed will work. Also there's an option to put the authorization on an attached USB stick. I see this more and more and so the USB stick I've used for Waves is now doing same duty for two other developers' products.

Post by James Steele »

Sound Toys has Echo Boy on sale for $49... normally $199. This isn't dirt cheap like some of the other plugs posted, but I've heard good things about this one, so might be time to go for it. The sale ends on April 5. Here's the link:
