I'm never quite clear as to the differences between the three versions out there.

If you take the descriptions literally, the regular version only works with PT and the free version is stripped down. Anyway, I downloaded it, and although I got V-Control free working a while ago, I can't get this working with DP 8. V-Control can see the Mac I'm using, and DP can see the V-Control port, but no controls are working. Also, there is no "DAW Tab" as per the instructions in the V-Control setup, and the setup instructions refer only to PT

It looks like theres an OS driver you have to install for it to talk to DP.

I don't think I have any additional OS drivers, but you need Ney-Fi running on the Mac as a host for the connection to V-Control on the iPad.

I see it is still free. Perhaps it would be worth the download just in case DP is supported in future updates.

DP is supported (and works) in V-Control Pro.

The logic of the marketing of this app gets weirder and weirder. So let's see if I have this correct.

The current free version, which usually isn't free, does not support DP. But the real free version, which is always free, does support DP? And then the real full version, which is never free, supports it, just like the always free version?

The universe is a little more ordered than that. The free version is stripped of many features. The basic version is only for ProTools. The so called pro version supports many audio apps, though several of them are in the "other" category.
