Good get Hobby, I forgot about Reverberate - I have been using it for ages too.

Pretty cheap from what I remember, and like all convos, you can load in IR's from other sources - I never do, the presets are more than enough for me.

Great for space creation, and I agree, the support (new serials when moving machines, etc.) has been very responsive. Very stable. Reasonable CPU overhead.

Edit:
p.s. Thanx for reminding me - just out of curiosity, I went to their site to see if anything had changed, and there is an update! Downloading it now. No doubt it will be snappier.

EW Spaces is an excellent CR. Very realistic, natural sounding rooms and halls that won't leave you pining for Altiverb.

For 3rd party CR impulses you may want to try Earnest Cholakis's IRs, they're pretty terrific : http://www.numericalsound.com/hollywood-sound-ir.html

I've been looking at EW Quantum Spaces. Sweetwater has it for $149.95

Apple's Spaces is really good. The downside is that it's bundled with Logic Pro X.

My go-to is the Eventide. That's what reverb is supposed to sound like.

However, for small hall spaces where I want a realistic feel, I'm still using the reverb from Ozone 5 Advanced. It is best described by Sound on Sound:

"Ozone's hybrid reverb combines convolution and algorithmic technologies; the early reflections are captured from real spaces using convolution, then married to an adjustable algorithmic reverb tail."

I am not happy that Izotope dropped reverb from Ozone 6. I was hoping for a full convolution reverb, better CPU efficiency or both. Dropping it? Not good.

For small spaces Exponential Audio's PhoenixVerb is really nice. Also, if you're looking for bargains, UVI Sparkverb is $79 at JRRShop.com.

That's better than UVI's $99 sale. SparkVerb isn't a convolution reverb, however.

I have SparkVerb and IR Verb as part of MachV 3. I wish there was a way that I could just use those plugs in DP without calling up MachkV (or is there and I don't know it?).

Yeah, Phoenixverb isn't a convo either, but it's fantastic on small rooms.

VirtualSoundStage (VSS) is mentioned in a few comparisons as being pretty good but I have not tried it myself.

$129 for the Lite version: 1 room, 4 mic setups

$199 for Pro: 9 rooms, 14 mic setups

These guys are offering it for $45 !?!?!? Anyone ever done business with them?

The site is similar to Craigslist. They've been listed on BBB for a long time with a B rating. The vendor is greenalan890, not Parallax Audio.

Yea, I checked them out. Been in San Francisco since 2002 and this is the first I have heard of it. Ok... Some weird alternate to Craigslist but without the protections :arrrr:

Yep, that was nice. They even sent out a bug fix update that I'd forgotten to do. Fortunately, the link still worked.

Is it just me, or when you used the word "crap" didn't you kind of "go there?"
