Telematic solo mode

Hi, newbie to the board and MachFive. So far, I love it. I am learning my way around the great Telematic program, and am having difficulty in solo mode. When I play a scale, not all the notes sound clearly, and when in slide or hammer on mode, I don't hear them, or they don't sound correct. Is this a technique issue related to how the individual notes are played?
