Audio drops with Motu Ultralite Mk3 on OS X 10.9.4

Hi everyone!
since I've upgraded to OS X Mavericks (fresh install of 10.9.2, updated to10.9.4), I'm experiencing audio drops during everyday use of my machine.
In particular, my Ultralite goes silent when I open/close every app, Safari tabs, change folders in Finder and some times without doing anything! I often have to stop iTunes and push play again to have audio back.
I've tried also with Ableton Live and, that's the real problem, it's the same...
I'm using it via Firewire and at the beginning I thought was due to bus-powering, but also with AC power adapter is the same.
Anyone is experiencing the same issue?
It's becoming really frustrating and I need to resolve before to start new recording and live sessions in Autumn.
