What is the trick to get the program changes I put in my MIDI track in order to get Kontakt to change instruments.

I made a new instrument Bank in the Kontakt window and put in instruments in the top five slots. I went to my MIDI track and inserted patch change boxes. I used the first five patch numbers. The sound just stays on the number one patch and doesn't move. What am I doing wrong.

Also, tell me if I am in the wrong forum. Where should I go?

update: God helped me find out…. I had another instrument in Kontakt before I made the new bank. The bank seems to want to be the only thing in it. I deleted the other instrument and the bank works fine.

When doing very different guitars,
When doing program changes, they all run through the same audio channel; so you would have to change effects and sends and volume every time you change a program.

Terry50, sorry to have distracted your thread. I've never sent program changes to Kontakt, so I am curious about how this'll all play out.
