It is open source. It is possible to build new device models without doing much programming. Programming is done in the scripting language Lua.
Worth a look.

That does look promising. I may post on their message board to see if someone has or is interested in writing panels for the Alesis QS7 or the Roland XV-3080, my 2 remaining hardware synths. (I doubt I'm up to the job myself.)I would even be thrilled to see just a Patch Librarian for those synths, so that I could at least manage my large collection of patches without having to use the "gone but not forgotten" Unisyn. (I know there already is software that will send and load bulk sysex dumps to my hardware; I would like to see the patches by name and audition them.)
There is also this software (http://www.ucapps.de/index.html?page=mios_studio.html), which I think can be programmed to do the same, as well as this app for the iPad (http://www.jazzman-ltd.co.uk/blog/). Patch Morpher only supports a small selection of synths currently, but its users sing its praises.

I have a QS8 I want to get more out of and have been considering doing something with that. I just need a few extra hours in each day to get to it all.wdegillio wrote:That does look promising.
