Hi all,
I installed Unisyn 2.1.1 on my 2009 macbook pro running 10.6.8 and I can confirm that it runs fine.I plan to use it for editing/creating patches for my DX7,K1m,XP-50 etc but i only have an E-MU 0404 USB as a MIDI interface.I don't see it anywhere under Unisyn's drivers so i'm worried it's not compatible.Any help will be appreciated!!
Thanks!

Unisyn uses sysex MIDI data for programming, so if you have MIDI in and out you should be OK regardless of the interface. Please report back if there is a problem, and note that 10.6.8 is the last OSX version that it will run on.

Ok and thanks for the quick reply! So I have my E-mu connected to usb and my DX7 connected to the E-mu (duplex) with enabled sys info avail.I open unisyn select mydevice and play channel and echo channel and when i play a note from the "screen keys" i hear nothing.I also get nothing when i send MIDI from DX7 to the computer.
Do i need to configure something..?
What am i doing wrong?

Have you set the devices and connections to your DX7, etc. in Audio MIDI Setup (AMS)? If the Emu doesn't show up in AMS, then odds are you haven't installed drivers for the MIDI interface.

Odds are that my connections are ok because I use my interface with my DAW and other stuff just fine.E-mu shows up properly in audio MIDI setup but not at Unisyn.I tried to get all patches from my Dx7 and it took a considerably long time so I cancelled it thinking it won't work but in the MIDI received window I saw random names of my patches among other numbers and hex.Note that I did this 3 or 4 times with the same results.Maybe I'll try again even with another synth and post back with a screenshot or something.I really don't know what's going on..

Has your target device (e.g. menu>Devices>Add Device) been added? And is the target device in the folder? The e-mu is not a target device, and is not configurable from within Unisyn. It is only configurable through Audio MIDI Setup. The individual devices are the editable instruments.

The same with me, but I only use MOTU interfaces. Once again, the interface must be enabled in Audio MIDI Setup.

Maybe if we can make a good Unisyn thread, we can all get a new version.

+1 !A decent editor that actually works with newer OSs is really missing. There is SoundQuest but it's quite expensive and somewhat buggy from what I hear.
My devices are added..And the interface is not configurable so now it's either MIDI drivers(?) the Dx7 or my bad luck..I'll try with another instrument and I'll report back:)
