So your an animal when it comes to sound?

Here's where to talk about preamps, cables, microphones, monitors, etc.

Wow, that's amazing. But it doesn't do much to explain why my ferret keeps chewing on my iPod. And by chewing on it I mean stealing it. And by ferret I mean my neighbor. And by neighbor I mean my wife. And by iPod I mean my beer.

Interesting! So, I guess that explains why beluga whales and tunas get along so well 'cause, like, they'd need a Eventide or equivalent just to talk to one another :-)

tuna 50-1,100

Damn go , ya beat me to it.
Looking at Gary's list, and was rather impressed with some of the entries

And thought .. SELF>>>sorry some sad Emeril Lagasse(food channel humor) the whale as got an outrageous frequency rez.. They can make a snapping noise as loud as hell!!
Assuming that water holds a conduction for sounds as it does for electricity?

Tonio, :-) LOL

heavypick, but the cost, the cost...no food, no furniture, I mean, I'm (literally) sleeping on a broken down waterbed frame without the water which means, you guessed it, no girlfriend

I used my oscillator plugin in Logic the other day and was able to hear everything from 22-19500. I guess that's pretty good. I do suffer right around 60Hz and every harmonic thereof. That is due to being on a Navy ship all the time. All you hear all day is 60Hz. Oh yeah, sound underwater is actually more intense because water is a denser medium and allows for better sound propagation. If I were to ping you with my sonar and you were within 100 yards it would rupture your organs and kill you. In case you haven't figured it out, I'm a sonar technician so sound is my job as well as my hobby. There is a lot more I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. :) With my sonar, of course.
