BIG SUR - in theaters, on ASCAP's blog, and on demand

Jack Kerouac's BIG SUR is in movie theaters! Beautiful beautiful film, written and directed by Michael Polish, shot by the amazing David Mullen, and starring Jean-Marc Barr, Kate Bosworth, Josh Lucas, Radha Mitchell, Stana Katic and Anthony Edwards.
Bryce and Aaron Dessner (of The National) started a beautiful, haunting score but weren't available to finish it, so I got to write the larger part of the film's original music.
ASCAP asked me to write a bit about the work process, so here it is. Lots of music examples there too.
