Universal Loops & Instruments update

Hi,

As part of the 3.2.0 update I have downloaded this file twice and each time I get an error message (Format error). Anyone else get this, and/or know what to do about it?

I had to download the new Mach Five sound files a few times before I got valid ones; one of them seven times. I posted a TechLink at MOTU and was advised to use some type of download application. They suggested iGetter, which worked OK. But I also noticed that Safari 7 (comes with OS X 10.9) recovers from download errors much better than Safari 6.

Guess I'll just keep trying then. Maybe I'll try firefox or chrome.

I had the same problem, then tried the recommended downloader on the Mach Five download page. Worked like a charm the first time. I don't remember the application but it's on the update page. It's free but donations are accepted. I was so happy It worked that I donated.

I had a problem with one of the downloads in Chrome - don't remember which but the second try was successful.

When I have problems downloading - new OS release or some other issue - I have found the Opera browser able to snag files that elude the others. It's the only reason I keep it on my hard drive.

The recommended download link on the MOTU site solves this. No need for any other workaround.

My God this is some annoying sh*t! I've downloaded it multiple times with multiple browsers, used that thing you refer to at the MOTU page MLC, Downthemall (which, by the way, it took me about an hour to figure out how to get it into Firefox and use, because I'm, you know, an idiot), and nothing has worked. Right now it's downloading again with iGetter, but why would that work? I dont know. Third base.

Well, for one they're freaking large files and lots can go wrong to corrupt long downloads.

I sent a tech note suggesting that if they are going to use far files they should consider using the facility to spilt the files into small parts with redundant repair par2 files. That would solve the problem.

I tried seven times with Safari 6, but one attempt with Safari 7 did it. It did stop half way through, but Safari 7 was able to resume at the point where the connection was lost.

With Firefox under Snow Leopard, it's work fine _
