Mixer Not Showing Same Volume when Adjusted

Post by jamesdunlopmusic »

Why is it that the default mixer volume (from loading up a template) changes dramatically the moment you move the fader on certain instruments.

What I mean is... I'll take let's say a Symphobia string patch. I'll load it up in a new MIDI track. At this moment I haven't moved the slider for it in the mixer so it's volume is default 127 (the top). The first time I do move the slider the volume flys up so in other words now I've moved it the new 127 volume is much louder than the default 127 level if that makes sense. The moment you move the fader the default 127 volume sounds like it now is around the 90 mark.
This is very annoying and as I say only happens on certain libraries. It does it with Project Sam but not with Spitfire Audio I find for example...

Am I the only one that gets this?
