Free mellotron library from UVI (> 1 GB), short-term avail.

Pretty good library but haven't compared directly yet to either G-Force's M-Tron Pro or IK Multimedia's SampleTron. It weighs over 1 GB and is 100% free! Go to the UVI website, login, and connect to Facebook with a "like" on their free sound bank offer.

Supposedly it isn't compatible with the current version of MachFive, but I tried it just now and it's fine on my computer. Make sure you update to the latest UVI Workstation release while you're at it, and remember to separately fetch the "Mello" user guide from the website as it isn't part of the installer.

I'm not sure if they are limiting this to a certain number of early responders, but once I got my authorization it said "good until 31 DEC 2013".

Ugh. Dislike giving that much access to my Facebook account to a marketing app.....(which is what it looks like you have to do to get this thing).

Yeah my only concern is if my friends get unsolicited email because of this.

I've downloaded it. UVI claims it works in MachFive but I haven't tried it yet. I see no reason why it wouldn't. They also have a free player available for download.

I hadn't acquired anything since iLok went to a license manager but once I figured that out, I was able to load the license on my key.

Update - works fine in MV3.2 / Mavericks. Sounds just as uh... authentic ... as the ones that I remember. Well, this one works every time so that's a bit different.
