DP 7.24 will almost run as always after installing the 8.02 demo. You will lose lameframe for making mp3's, and I lost the .midnam file for my Korg keyboard patches.

Well wait a minute. We lost the LAME MP3 export in the earlier version of DP 8 (.00 and .01) but now MOTU has included that in the install package so I don't know if it will ruin DP7 MP3 exports or not. I'm hoping it won't but i"ll not need DP 7 unless I want to use the Waves ultra pitch plug as it is dead in DP8 in my system (but fine in DP7). Go reconfigure.

DP8 will mess with your DP 7.24 control surface drivers.
If you have a complex setup of these...
Best to save that folder before you install.

Just found out that DP8 also kills mp3 export in DP7.24.
Now I have to go back and remember how to install the Lame thing.
All is well

Hi Bman....

I lost Invert Phase plug and Lame in Dp 7.24 and Invert phase plug in DP 8 when I upgraded to DP 8 (demo)

Since I use invert phase a lot, I wiped DP 8, had to reinstall Invert phase plug and download 7.24 to get the Lame working again in 7.24.

Since I need to finish some big projects, this was a big deal... and the trim plug has an invert phase in it - but it sounds quite a bit different to me than the invert phase plug so I don't bother with it.

My 7.24 still works as well as it did. i did notice however, that when i opened a new project in 7.24, it saved it as an 8.02 file. Not an issue really, because i just use the "Open WIth" command to select 7.24
