Very nice, CB. Sounds like she was a fun voice to work with. Tell us a little about the project.

Thanks, PO, and she was indeed. She is one of my hired guns I use to sing on client's material quite often, and then she turned into a client for this project. All VI's, no live instruments used (except the solo violin), everything played, mixed and mastered by yours truly. She likes unique vocal arrangements, so some of the tunes have some neat things going on. She is a fan of Imogen Heap, so you can hear some influence in some of the mixes per her request. Omnisphere, LASS, Alicia's Keys, and Emotional Piano played key roles in many of the mixes. Ah, what else...that Jingle Bells arrangement is something I whipped up for myself to submit to a TAXI listing and she liked it so much we made it a duet for her project, which was kinda cool that I could reuse an arrangement.

I used CD Baby like I always do to get it on iTunes, but she had suggested Catapult, which I didn't see much of a difference between the two companies. Do any of you guys have an opinion between those two services when getting digital distribution?

Mr. Linwood your words are always kind and gracious. I am honored to be able to be a part of your family's Holiday season.

It's not merely ear candy. It's also ear vegetables and delicious. I love how you tease the listener with subtleties-- from the soupy ambience to the haunting "child's" voice that brings the melody home. It all feels just right.

Bergie, you rank with the best in the business. I've heard your ethereal atmospheric work as well as your heavy metal work. My ear never goes to sleep when listening to your mixes. Bravo, my friend.

And... that must be you on viola...?

Ab-so-lute-ly, my brother.

And...thank you for your words...to share with friends your music is an unsurpassed joy, especially when they happen to like it...from the Shire, no less.

Chris, I'll listen after Thanksgiving. It's still kind of like summer here. :D
