Of course like everyone my MSI cannot find the MSI.dat file. Yawn
Seems like that one needed to be solved 10 years ago.
I keep reading about this /Library/Application Support/MOTU/MSI directory.
I have no such directory anywhere on my computer. Was this some file standard from 2004 or something?
How would a person in say, 2012, with say, Windows 7 (64) actually install and run MOTU Symphonic Instrument since it is still listed for sale by MOTU?
There is no /library/application support/MOTU directory

Are you getting Windows and OS X confused? The folder you are looking for is specific to OS X. Yes it was a file standard in 2004 (when dinosaurs roamed the plains) and is still as standard in 2012 (in OS X).

No, the advice was not delineated in the context of OS X or Windows, so I was not confused. But apparently my question was confusing because, one thing I do need is still to know what directory or process is used to install MSU in Windows (7 64).bayswater wrote:Are you getting Windows and OS X confused? That would be tremendous, if such a procedure exists.
Thanks,

The Windows directory per the manual is C > Program Files (x86) > MOTU > MSI.
