Excellent! At that price who can say no? Better than a thrift store. Even if I only use it once, it's more than paid for itself.

Have I said:

Thanks for the post! :)

Classic Edition, which is less robust than the full version, FYI.

I think this is the same deal AudioMIDI offered a few months ago. You may want to revisit this thread to avoid some of the installation missteps that tripped up even some of our most seasoned pros.

Just bought it a few months ago, from AudiMidi, for 15$.

Real fine VI. The tweaking process calls for a learning curve, but is deep in the end.
The samples are on the room tone side, but from a great room.

IMHO, the bassoon alone is worth the 30$.

With some tricks, you can play it with a wind controller. As you may already know, Shooshie is an expert on this subject. His advices and informations helped me a lot in getting a deeper use of this VI.

The VI is definitely worth it, though I have the full version, and I can only imagine this will create lust for the whole thing. A lot of the onboard articulations are things you'll probably never use in the context of a full orchestra, but the sounds are phenomenal across the board. Everybody rants and raves about the choirs, and deservedly so, but the orchestral percussion and the additional instruments, like a concert grand and a pipe organ, are also incredible. The best part is, the CPU footprint, especially for a full orchestra VI, is surprisingly minimal, and the whole VI's worth of orchestra can be mixed, set up for sends and inserts (it has 30 built-in FX) and output right from the VI itself, which is awesome for film composers like me who need to lay down tracks without sweating laying off any audio.
