Sure Mike, I'm over it... all over it, as it happens. The current, sorry state of humanity in general does not dictate the manner in which I choose to treat folks. This fatalist approach generally results in a downward spiral, don't you think?

Why, thank you, Mr. Cuttime!

Hey, is it just me or does that poop in the picture look like rocks? I can't imagine why I'd be pointing at rocks; they're not very entertaining for we fluff balls.

James Steele wrote:Look, he apparently has an issue. You guys know I have a hard time with someone who just splatters posts across the board that are just a rant or admonishment of MOTU with no sort of explanation or anything-- just a venting post with plenty of exclamation points. It's somehow worse when it's in broken English. I'm not making fun of the guy... his English is better than my Mandarin, or whatever.

He's welcome to expand here, but he never did and his post is a "Gripe" and I moved it here. Let's be clear: when you make a post that makes not even the slightest pretense of being in search of an actual "answer" but is just someone expressing unhappiness about an issue, it goes here. I mean, those sorts of posts are truly useless posts. They're therapeutic perhaps for the person posting them. They get to vent and let us all know how upset they are. And maybe... just maybe... someone at MOTU might come across it and think "Gee... this guy's upset. Unfortunately there's no useful information to help us figure it out. Oh well" and then they'll move on. I barely read them enough so I can determine if they are a "Gripe" or there's an attempt to find evidence toward solving it. Then it goes into "troubleshooting" which is about more than venting.

For me, suffering always equates to personal growth, and just as well; I'd sooner not suffer for no reward. Had a Helluva 18 months, bro'. Not sure if that answers the "question" you didn't ask, Mike, but I take your point. Ha!

Yeah, I did pretty much lose my personality for a decent stint, and it seems to have coalesced into something a tad inferior to the original model in terms of causticity. Notice how I haven't jibed you in the usual, relentless and merciless fashion? Something's definitely wrong with me, apart from all the usual stuff... :?

Well good for you Nick for not going ape on MLC or "must face".
I am willing to give the guy a chance and I did, he has not responded back. Perhaps he was just crying and maybe he read all the posts making fun of him and thought he would never get help here. My instinct is he was just out for a rant but I find that when I think ill of others and respond accordingly I am some times wrong and I get egg on my face so I am trying to learn not to react in such a manner.
I still have much to learn about myself but I have to face.

Nothing can ever be wrong with moving toward the positive, except perhaps already being positive and moving toward the fanatical or make-believe. But that wouldn't be positive, would it? So I guess I was right the first time: nothing can ever be wrong with moving toward the positive. Funny how it's the more positive types who seem to know this. Then again, a group wouldn't be complete without an Eeyore type, either. It's all good. (and that's as close a "pooh" reference as you'll get out of me!)

Ha! Very funny, Shoosh.

You gotta feel the Pooh, bro', but you have to be close to it first and you've wisely maintained a controllable distance. The inverse square law of attraction (repulsion? LOL) applies to the subject-poo distance, as far as I'm aware. Once you're too close, it's too late.

Anyway, in my line of work, I have to face... poo.
