Help - MSI not working with Sonar ...?

I just got MSI and installed it.
Actually the install only appears to have half-worked because when it asks me to insert the Ilok, I do that and it just hangs on "updating registry" so I have to cancel it.
Having said that, I can get it to work in UVI Workstation, ... but Sonar (Home 6 XL), I can't at all.
When Sonar scans for the MSI dll, it finds it but just hangs.
Actually , my MOTU Ethno did this and eventually Sonar seemed to recognise it after a few days!!! Wierd. :s
I have installed MSI 1.1.2
Also, can I get UVI Wkstn to act as a VST in Sonar?
