Forgive me if this was hashed out in a previous thread somewhere, but i'm just wondering if anyone's had any experience with 4.6 in DAE mode. I'm always a bit reluctant to upgrade until i've heard it's smooth sailing.
I have Protools HD1 and 6.7 software installed. I'm currently running OS 10.3.5.

Re: 4.6 in DAE mode?
I run 4.6 in DAE, OS X 10.38. It does in fact work. DP still crashes more than I like, but it did that is MAS mode as well. Also running Pro Tools 6.7. It NEVER crashes. I myself much prefer using DP as a front end to Pro Tools, but my main engineer who used to sing the praises of DP now will only use PT in my room.
My only feature request at this point is pro-grade stability, which PT most definetely has and DP does not.
PS Pitch Automation does not work in DAE mode, but you can switch to MAS, do the picth work, merge, then switch back to DAE. All without even having to close the song you are on. A workaround, but not a hard one.
