4.52 specific question

Post by burger »

Here's a specific problem I'm having with 4.52. I just want to know if anyone else out there has experienced this:

Track, graphic edit and mix windows are all open simultaneously. I try to add a plug in or change an output and I get the "out of memory" error message (-108). This is a strange one I know but it's a real workflow stopper.

thanks,

Are you talking about consolidated windows?

Youy can turn that off in prefs.

Track, graphic and mix are my usual windows open simultaneously and I've yet to get that error message.

DP4.52, G4 dual-800, 10.3.8, lots of VIs and plugins.

Trash your prefs?

yeah I trashed the prefs and turned off the consolidated windows. I went over this today with MOTU tech support this afternoon and he said he's never heard of the problem either. Thanks for the feedback.

Say dtobocman,

You using 4.5.2? I'm trying it again on another drive as you suggested a few days ago and seeing quite a few crashes on graphic editing. Do you find that at all?

Also geting a AU flag when I open DP up for the first time like it can't find somthing but then it works fine.

I'm using DP 4.52 on a 2.5 gig dual G5 running 10.3.7 with 2.5 gig of RAM. The techs always ask what kind of ram I have installed. I forget the brand but I guess that's also an important factor in all of this. I hope that's not my problem.

I noticed (Timeline) you're using 4.51. Is there some reason you're not upgrading to 4.52. Stability issues???
