Drive Format : Mac OS Extended or Standard ?

Hi,
I'm building a "legacy mac" it's an Mac 8500 running OS9 and am
going to install and authorize Unisyn 1.5 from an original floppy but I am wondering what
format scheme I should make the hard drive ?
Drive Setup (of OS 9) gives the options : Mac OS Extended or Mac OS Standard.
It's my remembering that Unisyn 1.5 came out before the existence of Mac OS Extended.
So i should probably format the drive as "Standard" because the Unisyn Authorizer knows
how to deal with "standard" not "extended" ?

Also, I remember many many years back I got into a situation where I had authorized
Unisyn when running OS 8, but couldn't unauthorize it once the drive had been
updated to OS 9. The floppy authorizer knew how to deal with OS8 to install Unisyn
but Unisyn 1.5 was before OS9 so the authorizer app didn't know how to deal with
OS9 to unauthorize or something like that.

Problem solved.
Just in case anyone is interested, the authorizer that comes with Unisyn 1.14
can successfully authorize a "Mac OS Extended" formated OS 9 hard drive.
So i guess this means it doesn't matter if the drive is Mac OS Standard or Extended.
Also, I was able to Un-authorize the same drive with Extended so as I mentioned
in my original post about not being able to un-auth, well, never mind that now.
