Unisyn and MaC PRO?

I've attempted to run Unisyn 2.11 on a Mac Pro 8 COre 2.8 Ghz OS 10.5.6, but it keeps crashing on start up. The report talks about a Kernal Crash. Any suggestions? The install went fine, but trying to run 2.1 causes the crash. I downloaded and installed 2.11 and the same thing happens - a crash.

DP 5.12 works fine

Magic Dave at MOTU solved it.

Go to your User directory>Library>Preferences window.
Trash these files:
com.motu.unisyn.plist
Unisyn Prefs
Unisyn Setup

Hi there,
so what experience did you make with UniSyn by now? Is it worth the money? I am searching for an editor (Mac Pro, Leopard) for my K2500RS and i am missing some kind of downloadable demo version...
Thanx a lot, best regards
Flo

Unisyn was a great program, and I still have it for my older synths. However, it hasn't been updated in forever. No profiles for newer synths. Very frustrating. There is a profile for the K2500, so you'd be good to go with that. If you want to edit and store your patches, then you'd be set for now. However, don't count on any updates or upgrades from now on.

This is very helpful, as I am running into a brick wall with the old SoundDiver OS X beta. I am glad to hear Unisyn still works, even if it seems to be end of the line. It may still be worth upgrading from my version 1.
