Hi I just got an Access Virus TI Snow and tried to edit it using TI Control. I'm able to open a instrument track (which activates the editor), and change presets, but I cant hear any audio signal this way. Everything seems to work except for the audio. Any ideas or insights?
thanks
Does Virus TI Control work with DP 5.13?

Anyone? Is there anything I am missing with the set up of the Virus instrument track? Or does it simply not work with DP? thanks

I assume you have the audio output out of the Virus coming in thru an audio or aux track? The plug will sit in an instrument track, but you need to deal with the audio coming out of the virus as well.
Also - is your Virus getting MIDI from somewhere's? (A MIDI track is needed too).

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Yeah I have the instrument/TI track set to Bus 1-2. The Aux track is set to Bus 1-2 and there are audio + MIDI tracks set up.BKK-OZ wrote:I assume you have the audio output out of the Virus coming in thru an audio or aux track? One odd thing: When I create the MIDI track, there are several versions of the Snow to choose from: An "Access Virus Access Virus TI Snow", a "TI Snow" etc.
Not sure what is causing the redundancy.

Re: Does Virus TI Control work with DP 5.13?
What is showing in your Audio-MIDI set up?
I dunno about the Virus, but a couple of things that I have that have USB as well as MIDI get confused if I plug in both.
Look in AM set-up and if you have more than one device there for the Virus, and you have MIDI as well as USB plugged in, that could be why you have more than one.
It could also be because (I think?) the Virus can act as both a sound module, plus you can run audio thru its effects engine - maybe that is why they are showing up as different options?
In terms of the audio monitoring - maybe try some other sound generator on the tracks where you have the Virus - whack a guitar or mic in there just to make sure you have got that whole thing set up correctly. You might also want to make sure that the MIDI is getting thru to the Virus (does it have a light that blinks or similiar?).
