iLok causes MOTU SI to crash

Post by organoaeternam »

Hello all, first off I am sorry if this issue has already been solved in a previous post.

Ok, so I go out and buy MOTU Symphonic Instrument. I am Running a
Dell XPS M1710 with vista home premium 32bit and have 4G Ram.
Everytime I try to run MOTU it crashes. Now if I try to run the .exe file without the iLok dongle plugged in then MOTU brings me to an authurization screen...when I plug in the dongle and try to authurize it...you guessed it....it will crash. MOTU blames PACE and so far PACE blames MOTU and I am out 295 dollars. I would love some help. All drivers are up to date on everything. I'm just so peeved. Now I did notice one thing. In the device manager under Dongles there is a small circle with a green or blue " ? " in it for the iLok dongle. Now I did some research on that and it means that the dongle is not fully operational. However, again all drivers are up to date. Please please please help!!

Try going to http://www.ilok.com and registering your iLok. It will be interesting to see if the site "sees" your iLok and if so whether you have all the proper drivers installed for it.
