Macbook doesn't recognize Ultralite

I've downloaded the drivers and updates but NO. The Ultralite gets power via the fw-cable and that's it. I'm getting desperate. Open to any suggestions...

Hi

Open Audio MIDI Setup and select the Ultralite from
the System Settings for Default Input and Default Output.
Do the same for Properties.

The Ultralite doesn't exist there either. That's why it's impossible to choose it. More suggestions?

That didn't help either...

I think I've tried everything. The FW-port on my computer is working correctly and the MOTU worked also when I tried it on my friend's Macbook. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
