It rocks, Pete. :D

Dig the wide "Lukather" vibrato, man.

Please be sure to post it once you're done mixing!
I can't afford to buy music anymore, so I collect what I can from the "Showcase" forum.

Sounds excellent, but I need to hear some shaker or tambourine or both to liven up the Hi Hat/Ride area of the frequency spectrum. Track a quick tambourine playing eighth notes and slamming with the snare plus acoustic guitar jangle/mute tracks to pick things up, and you will have a winner. :)

Hey Peter.....

I like it the way it is....Or, the direction you're headed in, with the mix.
It's got a real nice "rawness" to it. ( I mean that in good way, Bro...!! :) )
Reminds me somewhat of Andy Timmon's CD, "Resolution". ( the mix. )

Good guitar work Bro...!!!

Really nice playing and riffing on this tune. I'm hearing it on some of those crappy little Genelecs, and this may be a personal taste thing, but I think there's too much distortion on the lead guitar. That could be an artifact of converting to MP3. Might benefit from a bit of shelf around 500K. Otherwise, impressive for a non-mix.

Musically, this compares well to ZZ Top, circa Rio Grande Mud, which is to say... nice!

It's grown on me over the last week.
I especially like some of your (lead) note choices, Pete.

Oh, and of course that Lukather vibrato. :D
