New release imminent - entirely done in DP - hear samples...

Post by David Helpling »

My third release, TREASURE - a collaboration with Jon Jenkins, will be released world-wide on June 12th. The entire project was written, recorded and mixed in DP 5.11 using Apogee Hardware and summed OOTB via the SPL MixDream. We used Neumann Mics, True Systems Pre's and ADAM monitors...and a ton of VI's.

It is an ambient/cinematic/electronic record that already has quite a buzz surrounding it. We just finished an interview with John Diliberto for the echoes radio show...

Our new website has just launched and is dedicated to our collective works. There you guys can listen to decent-length samples of each track...any feedback from you power-users is welcome.

Thanks for listening...the release is a few days away and things are heating up...nice to get response so early. Thank MOTU for DP5 - this album would have taken us 10 years to make without it...

Thanks for the kind words guys - this record was 6 years in the making and we're getting an incredible response. The ambient genre is only recognized by a small group but it is a deep and rich one.

Echoes Radio just released a 7-minute feature about the record - here is a link: http://deepexile.com/audio/dhjjechoes.mp3

Check out Echoes: http://www.echoes.org/

Ambient Visions just published the first in-depth interview at: http://www.ambientvisions.com/helplingj ... easure.htm

Thanks again for listening!

Wow. Very seductive music for the ears. Entrancing. I love the pulse of your music. Very interesting and distinct.

Best of luck to you! (not that you need it!)

Jon and I just got back from promoting the record up in L.A. and we did a couple of radio interviews in the process. One of them airs tonight on KXLU - the 10:00pm show "Alien Air" if anyone is interested. We haven't heard it yet and it was an interesting one...
