Of course Josh; we always agree!

This actually happened in a shop today.
I'd just had my 2nd haircut in 22 years(!), and even though I was sweatin' bullets, couldn't see what the gal was doing (short sighted), and didn't bother to check the results "in-house".
I'd simply rolled up and said, "Chop it all off, please."
I figured I'd review the damage after returning home.

So there I was at my next port of call, and I happened to catch a glimpse of the ol' noggin, not least because all the walls were mirrored.
"Oh, what!?" I yelled (no backflips, mind you).
The entire store seemed to stop in its tracks and scrutinise me (just what the doctor ordered!).
I believe the last time I exclaimed spontaneously and this loudly was when I was in high school.
I tell ya, if I had "ego", I would've crawled up my own you-know-what.

So there. At least two apes were witness to shocking visions brought forth by these new-fangled mirrors today.

Ok, here goes another 4 pager.
I rememeber in one of our earlier "discourses" when we were talking about envornmental toxins, etc....
I think you may have mentioned something to the effect of various chemical either being interperted by the body as either androgens or estrogens (as a way to address the particular chemical) ?????
Was this you?
I have been thinking about this topic a lot lately (get a life your thinking ) and it makes sense to me. Hormonally, out thyroids are going to respond environmentally to counter balance what we are exposed to.

I saw something similar in a news blurb.

Hey, Josh.

I sat on this one.
Should I get into this?
Man, I'm just so burned out right now, and you've (potentially) opened a huge can of juicy worms.

It might help (as always) to see the body as a whole in terms of its responses.
We tend to break it down (wherever we happen to look, more like it) to components, looking for who's to blame, for the smoking gun, so to speak.
This is partly (mostly?) why we struggle so to understand it in all its awesome complexity.
Hormones are involved in pretty much every function of the body.
So are oxygen, minerals, enzymes, sugars, the immune system and God knows what else.
Study any one of these in detail and you might think you have "the answer".

It's like thinking in concepts rather than words.
You can always trace back to details or components from an wholistic understanding, but the only fast track to said understanding is conceptual reasoning.
Think pictures vs words; if you thought in pictures, imagine how many dead-ends you'd avoid.
I've always thought this way, and quickly feel lost and frustrated when bound by words.
Geez, you'll sleep better tonight knowing that. Sorry.

That's more than I thought I could give right now.
Sorry for not being my usual, effervescent self.
I just haven't been fizzin' lately.
So much is up in the air, seems only my feet are on the ground.

Cheers, Josh; hope you're OK, mate.
If you need to vent (I know it's tough for you right now), PM me.
Nicky

Yeah there is a lot in the air, but the clouds are not pink :?
No worries, take it easy. You can always pm as well if you need to vent on your end. I am gearing up for a cross country move (with wifey/kids and cat) so I can empathize.

Damn this 9/11-9/14, always-in-agreement thing, man. This is OTT.
That's the offer I always make to folks should I sense they may need it.

The sample-accurate, synchronous er, sync continues.
I've been researching Townsville (3000 kms north) and the ol' dangerous wildlife tonight.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irukandji_jellyfish

A month ago it was Brisbane, some 2000 kms north.
At this rate I might as well come to LA.
OK, maybe a nice little town in Florida or something.
Pensacola perhaps?

Geez, I'm getting desperate, and we're only entering Autumn.
The cold's starting to set in, and I'm in hell again.
I doubt I'll still be in Hellbin by the end of winter.
I figured it's not worth allowing logistic issues to get in the way.
The new approach is to get to paradise first, then (hopefully) the rest can take care of itself.

PM me if you need to vent!
G'night, Joshster.

OK, I checked out Pensacola:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pensacola,_Florida

Winter's way too cold.

I s'pose everything I'd heard 'till now suggested it'd be a nice little sleepy hollow.
You know, somewhere where gang culture and greed might not have taken off yet.

Still, I'm not afraid of lookin' afar. :D

I forgot winter is aproaching you. It must be "weird" to celebrate x-mas in summer (not that am big on commercial holidays, as well as the red sea pedestrian factor). If your considering Florida, I would suggest chapel hill North carolinia. A 'bohemian' type of atmosphere nestled in the hills good organic food and such.
The greed part is probably to late  it seems to have infested humanity beyond return. Speaking about gang culture I am on a Job (contracting/remodeling) nestled among mexician gang bangers. It's a funny atmoshpere to observe as they are so macho, yet want NOTHGING to do with the crazy GRINGO (ME  )

Same to you, but inverted.

A plague.

Not nacho? :D
If only it were as simple as substituting a letter.

Their loss, and typical of the sort of attitude that'll limit their prospects for decent lives.

Just responses, I know, Josh; I've got nothin' for ya.
Getting through the day is a victory at the moment.

Frankly it's ok and preferable not to always have to have something to say. My music lies in the silence, so I can apply and appreciate the same metaphor with language..........

It looks absolutely hilarious.
Gotta get me mits on that one, methinks.

Take care, bro'.
