Sure did. The issue that makes backups a pain in the context of this bulletin board is that restoring from a backup to a remote server is a royal pain because of the file size and issues that are too hard for me to explain that make it a complex matter.

Hi James!
( and everybody else too of course  )

We were all starting to feel the withdrawal symptoms  I think.
Good to have you back.

I feel un-reasonably happy to be able to pester my
Unicornationers with my dumb questions again

Eventually I'll feel confident enough to answer a few questions myself.

Cheers: Dixiechicken

Hi James,

Thanks for all your hard work getting this back up. I felt bad that you had to deal with the SQL server changes. Perhaps the upgrade that your provider did will make things work even more rock solid now.

Anyway, thanks for all that you do. This has been a great resource for thousands of us.

Regards,

Yes, James. Thanks and congratulations!

I'd started getting "the shakes" for a minute there!

Funny-- I had dinner with a few friends the other night. Three of us are U-nation members and we were all bottled up with questions and suffering from withdrawal!

It's SO nice to see the board back up and running as good as new! 8)

I see - does it help, or go faster, to make the database backup from the admin control panel?

I was concerned we'd lose at least the last month's worth of data after having read the relayed message at BBL, Jimbo.
What a bonus that everything appears to have remained intact!
Yay! :D
