MSI shows "VST" in U-Rt Corner

Post by arsaxo »

 OK Now, I am a stumped DP4.6x user, who, yes, sprang for the AudioEase's VST Wrapper, s that I could use:
a. Edirol's VSC Multipack VST PlugIn
(Just got in the box from Sweetwater), and
b. NI's Kontact Player that comes with my Finale 2006,

along with my MSI which I use at work,

this morning, I just want to have a family sing along to my new:
"50 James Taylor Songs" from "Trantracks".
Tran recommended I order the Edirol VSC

The old stand alone, brings up Classic Mode!, thought they would have graduated from that version by now.

The VST PlugIn version, although I created a VSTplugins folder within the MOTU Folder, AND INSTALLED "AudioEase's VST" Wrapper, for DP . . .
doesn't see any such set. YRT, My MSI window now has a new logo in the upper right hand corner, "VST Version", WHAA?

Why isn't the Apple Software Synthesiser any better than it is after all these years? I've got years of GS & GM purchases just pining for a virtual GM synth to come along so that I don't have to hook up the old Alesis NanoSynth. What about those third party Downloads at the QuickTime 3rd Party site, or a QT Pro Key, does the Instrument set get any closer to the VSC.

P.S. The VSC running in Classic is sounding the old good way it always did. Made me pine for OS9. . . .Why is this???
