Have a Safe and Happy Holiday

Post by wylie1 »

I'd just like to say thanx to everybody for all the info and help over the years and especially James for keeping UN alive.
So far I've bought myself BFD and this http://www.amazon.ca/r-t-Guide-Mixing-M ... F8&s=books
I've read many audio books and not sure if they help or just confuse me but still hoping one day a light will click on and it will all make sense.
Take care everyone.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all! We are so blessed to have the gear we have in our studios, the jobs we have to pay for that gear, etc. BUT for those of us that have so much to be fortunate for, remember there are many others who this time of year is awful for them.... no money to buy gifts for their kids, may have a hard enough time just paying for food or keeping the heat on. PLEASE if you know someone who may otherwise not have that great of a Christmas holiday, help them out however you can...... buying them groceries for a nice Christmas meal or perhaps buying clothes and/or toys for the kids, paying a bill for them, etc. Christmas is about giving, and the older I get the more I realize this.....NO ONE should have to do without this time of year, and it makes my heart hurt to see others first-hand having to go through that....A very good client of mine wrote and recorded the song "The Christmas Shoes", if you've ever heard it--THAT really puts into perspective what Christmas IS ALL ABOUT!

Happy Holidays ya'll! :-)
Thank you,
Brad Lyons

Peace on Earth

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Deck Them Halls and all that jazz, then...

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Get some rest, ye merry gentlemen and gentlewomen.

Question

Which is better; a hat made of mistletoe or a belt buckle?

This Christmas, my wife, son and I will be moved into our new house, a cool 20s craftsman with new hardwood floor. The back view overlooks backyard orange trees and mountains in the distance. The front view overlooks a mortuary across the street. And my Gretsch Historic sits next to the fireplace (no, no heat damage threat, trust me).

I can't tell you how happy that makes me.

And if I could telepathically spread that happiness to everyone else, I would in an NYC second.

Let me quote Fountains of Wayne (without their irony), sending the vibe out to countries far and wide:

"Peace and love
Peace and love,
Thanks all I'm thinking of, baby,
Peace and love."

Merry Christmas to everyone!!

Thanks to all the regulars for such great advice, James for running the whole show, MOTU for giving us such great material to work with, the 20,000 or so lurkers for just being there, all the spammers for their fine work, just everyone really....

Here's hoping all our dreams come true in 2007!
