Unisyn and Sysex files

Post by ericjustin »

I must say, Im completly frustrated with Unisyn. I cant seem to get much of anything to work. I dosnt seem to want to communicate with my Poly 800mkII at all. The manual dosnt seem to help much.
Is Unisyn designed to be able to read Sysex files stored on you Macs harddrive and be able to send them to the synth. It dosnt mention this anywhere in the manual.

Unisyn will not load sysex data from your hard drive. The way to get around this is to use a freeware program like SysEx Librarian to load and send the sysex to your synth then have Unisyn retrieve the banks and save it as a Unisyn bank.

I think the Poly 800 wouldn't work with Unisyn but the MK II should. Try changing the device id in Unisyn 1 number higher and see what happens.
